Beatrice had been having sleeping problems for several years and usually woke up in the middle of the night. She could not think of a reason for her insomnia. Her life is currently happy and she has no real worries.
She thought she would try hypnosis to help her sleep better and we discussed her situation in an initial consultation.
During the session there was a strong suggestion to search the past for an incidence of sleep being interrupted or broken abruptly.
Before the next session, she was able to reveal that many years ago a former partner, who was a shift worker, regularly woke her in a very inconsiderate fashion early in the morning. This had largely been forgotten (by her conscious mind).
This revelation itself was crucial in formulating the next session, during which we confirmed to the sub conscious that this was firmly in the past and she was now safe.
She said she found hypnosis to be lovely and relaxing.
Subsequently, Beatrice reported sleeping soundly for the first time in a long while.

Hypnosis is a natural and safe state – one that we can enter spontaneously every day when performing routine tasks. It’s akin to a state of daydreaming.
